I jumped in the car and shared a ride up to Saint Cloud with Jessica and Dan to photograph their engagement session where it all began. Jessica and Dan met while they were both attending Saint Cloud State University in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. This is where they spent their time getting to know each other and eventually getting engaged. It was one of my first times in Saint Cloud on the campus and I had a blast getting to know the two of them while documenting their time where they created some of their first memories. Since college they both have moved away but their wedding will be held this summer at Dan’s parents home near the same area. I look forward to seeing you both again for your wedding!

Megan and Derek | Florida Engagement Photography

I knew Megan back in high school in Minnesota. We were on danceline together! It is crazy to look back and not have any idea where our lives will lead us and where we might meet again. We found each other again online because Megan is getting married and I am a photographer! Instantly we had some great connections. Derek is in the Navy and has been stationed in Pensacola, FL for flight school! Talk about having something in common, military and flying! Megan has recently moved there to support her future husband! They will be getting married in September back in Minnesota which I very excited about, but for now we were able to get together in Pensacola. I am stationed with my husband in Montgomery, AL until March 12 and we went to visit an old college roommate in FL one weekend. It worked out perfectly that I could spend an hour one morning with Megan and Derek out on the beach near where I was staying. I had a blast out on the beach battling the cold and wind. It was great to get out of my element and photograph in new surroundings.

Megan and Derek, I can’t wait until September where we get to be back in our hometown for a great celebration! It is going to be awesome to see all your friends and family come together to support your marriage and service in the military!

We started out in the pavilion to get out of the wind and warm up.

Kate and Simon | Minnesota Engagement Photography

I am so excited to post this engagement session on the blog. This is Kate and Simon. Kate is good friends with my bride Lindsey from last August. Simon is also friends with a group of guys from the University of Minnesota that my husband knows. Currently Simon is serving with Campus Crusade and my husband and I are supporting is mission work there. Kate is a fashion design student at the University of Minnesota and she totally reflects that in these images! This couple is so in love which is evident here! I am very excited to see what these two have planned for their wedding in May. The ceremony will be held at the Nazareth Chapel and the reception is at the Calhoun Beach Club! I am pumped for it and after you see these images I think you will be too!

This was my first time shooting at the Walker Art Center! I really miss that place!

Looking back at 2009 my photography business has allowed me to get a unique view into the lives of so many people. I have meet such great families, children, and graduates that have a spark in their lives. I get to capture their spark so they can have it live forever with great photographed memories! Engaged | Lindsey and Pat

This Friday I will have the privilage of photographing an awesome wedding for an awesome couple. Meet Lindsey and Pat. My husband’s friend from Air Force ROTC is good friends with Pat and so gave me a good recommendation and booked me the wedding. We hit it off right away when I first met them at their engagement session. Lindsey has a great vision for her photos and for this session she was looking for a grassy field and old building downtown feel. Well, we were able to get both! We first shot at Como Park in a ditch along side the baseball field (you just have to search). Then we went over to Mill City for some downtown urban images. I think we did a good job at accomplishing both! I can’t wait to see what is in store for the wedding this Friday. Lindsey has some great ideas.

So this Thursday I will be heading out to eastern Wisconsin with my husband, shooting the wedding Friday, and then driving back that night to get to my Fairfax, MN wedding Saturday. I am so lucky to have awesome friends and clients to share my time with and my awesome job!

Engaged | Krista and Sheldon

This one has been a long time coming! I first met Krista over a year and a half ago about her wedding. Both Krista and Sheldon have been through some trying times that have challenged their love and endurance for each other! We just did their engagement pictures last week and finally this weekend they are going to enjoy the wedding that they have been looking forward to for such a long time! I also got to meet Brett, Krista’s son, who I am sure is going to look very handsome in his tux! Can’t wait to see you both on Saturday!

Engaged | Courtney and Jim

Are you sick of engagement pictures yet??? New weddings posts to come and two weddings coming up the next couple weekends!!

I first met Courtney and Jim at this engagement session with the thoughts of possibly getting a chance to shoot their wedding. Well we haven’t gotten that far, but I had a blast last fall taking their engagement pictures for them and I consider it a privilege to document their love! I miss all the beautiful orange and red fall colors!

These two were just naturals when I did their engagement pictures. We met up at the Sculpture Gardens in downtown Minneapolis. There is so much to do there and I seem to always find something new that I have never seen before! You can defiantly tell that these two are in love! I had a lot of fun laughing with them and having a good time. Their wedding is in a couple weeks at a lakeside home in Pine City! I can’t wait for a wedding that I know will be a blast for the sound of things. Now I am hoping for great weather!

Actually these two are already married. I did their engagement pictures shortly before their wedding and again it was while I was upgrading the blog so it was never posted. This was a very fun couple for me. Totally laid back and always laughing at my stupid jokes (actually I don’t know any jokes)! The engagement session was the first time I met Kristen and Tom. We met on Kristen’s dad’s tree farm where we got to play around with all the fun surroundings. We hit it off right away. It was a great fall day! I am very excited to show off their wedding which will be posted soon!
